Vernon Richard Loechel Obituary, Belton Car Accdent Death – In Loving Memory

The Belton community is mourning the tragic loss of Vernon Richard Loechel, 50, who died Wednesday afternoon in a devastating crash on FM 439 in Bell County, Texas. Authorities confirmed that Loechel’s vehicle collided with a trash truck, resulting in a fatal accident that has left family, friends, and neighbors in deep sorrow.

According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, Loechel was traveling westbound in an Audi when his vehicle crossed into the opposite lane for reasons still under investigation. The Audi collided with a Peterbilt trash truck, causing the truck to veer off the roadway and crash into the Lake Food Mart near Wildwood Drive. Loechel was pronounced dead at the scene by Justice of the Peace Duffield.

The driver of the trash truck was transported to Baylor Scott & White Health with non-incapacitating injuries. At least two people inside the store also sustained minor injuries during the collision.
