Centaurus High School Lockdown Today – Erie School on Lockdown, 2 Boulder Valley Schools on Hold Amid Unverified Threats

Authorities in Colorado responded to a series of precautionary security measures across multiple schools, including a full lockdown at Centaurus High School and temporary “hold” protocols at two additional Boulder Valley schools, following unverified threats reported across the district.

School administrators acted quickly after receiving information suggesting potential danger, placing Centaurus High School under lockdown and limiting student movement at nearby campuses. Officials emphasized that these measures were purely precautionary and designed to ensure the safety of students and staff while law enforcement assessed the credibility of the reports.

Multiple law enforcement agencies, including local police and school resource officers, were deployed to the campuses. Officers conducted security sweeps, monitored entrances and exits, and coordinated with school administrators to determine whether any actual threat existed. At this time, authorities have not confirmed any weapons, shooter activity, or injuries associated with the incidents.

The Boulder Valley School District confirmed that two additional schools implemented “hold” procedures, which allow normal classroom activity to continue while restricting movement in common areas. District officials notified parents and guardians through emergency communication systems, advising them not to come to campus while law enforcement operations were ongoing.

Investigators are currently tracing the origin of the reported threats, reviewing social media activity, digital communications, and tips submitted to authorities. It is not yet known whether the alerts are connected or originated from a single source.

No arrests have been made, and authorities have not confirmed any credible evidence of an active threat. Centaurus High School remains under lockdown, while surrounding schools continue with heightened precautions. Law enforcement and school officials stressed that student safety remains the top priority and that updates will be provided once verified information is available.
